Yoga Classes

Yoga Classes at St. James Presbyterian ChurchSpirituality is more than an activity of the soul or mind alone.  It also involves the way we treat our bodies.  At St. James we encourage our members to take care of their bodies as a way of honoring the image of God in all of us.  We also encourage the fellowship that small groups permit (like yoga class, choir,  knitting groups and such). 

We offer a yoga class as a way to encourage meditation and to honor our bodies.  This class is an introduction to yoga that focuses on movement, basic body alignment, breathing techniques, and postures as well as deep relaxation.  This class is vinyasa style yoga with an ashtanga influence.

Beth Kaufman, a certified instructor, is teaching the class.  She is a member of the St. James Community and understands yoga to be a part of our outreach.   Classes are $10 each or six classes for $50.

Yoga Class at St. James Presbyterian ChurchClasses begin at 9:30 am on Saturday mornings and run for about one hour.  Wear loose fitting clothing.  Bring your own mat and towel.  For more information or questions on the class, email Beth at mailbeth@yahoo.com.
